Rental terms and conditions
Last updated: October 30, 2026
Roam rents golf carts in Casa de Campo, La Romana, Dominican Republic. It is operated by BENNYENTP, E.I.R.L. (RNC 1-33-57915-4) (“the Provider”). By paying to reserve or paying for a rental, you (“the Customer”) accept these terms.
1. Who you contract with
Your rental is with BENNYENTP, E.I.R.L. (RNC 1-33-57915-4). In these terms, “the Released Parties” means the Provider together with its owners, managers, employees, subcontractors and affiliates.
“Cart” or “vehicle” means any motorised unit rented to you, electric or gas.
2. Booking and availability
You send an inquiry and we reply with your price and a payment link. Your carts are only reserved for you once at least the deposit is paid. Until then, another customer can book them, and the link stops working once they are no longer available.
If you pay at the same moment as another customer and they are confirmed first, your card is not charged and the authorisation is released. Your bank may show it as pending for a few days.
Carts are assigned by availability. We may deliver an equal or better model at no extra cost; this does not give a right to a refund.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are set in US dollars and charged in Dominican pesos (RD$) at the exchange rate of the day you pay, shown to you before you confirm. Payments are processed by BENNYENTP, E.I.R.L. at pagos.benny.do through AZUL, and appear on your statement as BENNYENTP.
- Deposit: US$10 per cart per night, or US$20 on peak nights, plus 18% ITBIS. It is part of the rental price, not an extra.
- Balance: paid on delivery day, in cash at the rental price, or by card. You may also pay it online before you arrive.
- Card payments carry a card service charge that covers processing, and 18% ITBIS applies to the rental and to that charge. The deposit carries no card service charge. Every amount is shown to you before you pay.
- You authorise the Provider to charge any outstanding amount under these terms to the card you paid with, which is kept on file securely by our payment processor.
4. Cancellation and changes
- The deposit is non-refundable, except as set out in section 12 (force majeure).
- Cancelling 30 days or more before delivery: you lose the deposit and owe nothing more.
- Cancelling less than 30 days before delivery: you owe 100% of the rental balance, which the Provider may charge to the card on file.
- Shortening the dates or the number of carts less than 30 days before delivery counts as a partial cancellation on the same terms. Other changes depend on availability and may change the price.
- No-shows, and not receiving the carts, count as cancelling less than 30 days before delivery.
- We recommend travel insurance to protect your booking.
5. Delivery and pickup
Carts are delivered to your villa in Casa de Campo on your arrival day, between 3:00 and 7:00 pm at the time you chose, and collected after 11:00 am on your departure day. Earlier delivery or later pickup depend on availability and may cost extra.
You or someone you authorise must be present to receive the carts, show the renter’s ID, and pay any balance due.
6. Who may drive, and the rules
- The renter must be 25 or older on delivery day. Every driver must be 18 or older and hold a valid driver’s licence.
- Follow Casa de Campo’s rules for golf carts, its speed limits and the instructions of its security staff.
- Use the carts only inside Casa de Campo. Driving on public roads is prohibited (Law 63-17).
- Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Do not carry more people than the cart has seats.
- Report any damage, accident or fault to us immediately.
- Return the carts on the agreed date and in the condition you received them.
Breaking these rules may lead to the carts being removed without a refund, a fine of US$150 to US$500, and full responsibility for any damage and legal costs.
7. Battery assistance
Electric carts are delivered charged; please plug them in every night. If a cart runs out of battery away from your villa and you need us to come and help, a US$30 assistance fee applies, which may be charged to the card on file.
8. Damage and responsibility
You are responsible for the actual cost of:
- mechanical or structural damage to the cart, and its repair or replacement
- a cart that is lost, stolen or destroyed, and lost keys
- deep cleaning, towing or recovery
- damage to third parties or their property
- fines, administrative and collection costs and legal fees arising from the rental
9. Charges to the card on file
You authorise the Provider to charge the card you paid with for the amounts in sections 4, 6, 7 and 8, and for any unpaid balance. Amounts are based on an official estimate, a repair-shop invoice or verifiable market value, supported by photos or documents, and we will send you the detail before charging. Disputing a charge with your bank does not remove the obligation to pay it.
If payment is not made: the card on file may be charged, a US$150 administrative fee applies, interest of 2% a month runs after 30 days, and legal action may be taken in the Dominican Republic.
10. Chargebacks
Please raise any disagreement with us first, within 5 business days of receiving an invoice. You agree not to dispute as “unauthorised” or “fraudulent” a charge for a service you used. Chargebacks are only for bank-verified fraud or use not attributable to you. If you open an unjustified chargeback, you agree to pay the original amount plus a US$150 administrative fee, a US$500 penalty and legal fees.
11. Assumption of risk, release and indemnity
Using a golf cart carries inherent risks, including collisions, rollovers, loss of control, mechanical or electrical failure, serious injury, permanent disability, death and property damage. You voluntarily assume all risks of renting, transporting, operating and using the carts.
You release the Released Parties from any claim, liability, injury, damage, loss or death, even if caused by their ordinary negligence. This release does not cover gross negligence or wilful misconduct as determined by a final judgment of a Dominican court.
You will indemnify and defend the Released Parties against claims arising from your or your companions’ use of the carts, breaking the rules, damage to third parties, or breaking Dominican law.
12. Force majeure
Events beyond either party’s control release both parties from responsibility. If such an event prevents us from delivering the carts, your deposit and any other payment are refunded.
13. Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed exclusively by Dominican law. Any dispute is submitted exclusively to the courts of La Romana, Dominican Republic. You voluntarily and irrevocably waive the right to sue the Released Parties in the United States or in any other country or jurisdiction outside La Romana, Dominican Republic, to take part in a class action, and to a jury trial.
For all purposes of the rental, including notices and legal process, you elect domicile (elección de domicilio) at the villa in Casa de Campo, La Romana, where the carts are delivered.
14. General
Electronic acceptance, including paying online and messages by WhatsApp, is legally valid under Law 126-02. If any clause is unenforceable, the rest still apply. If your booking is changed or replaced, the most recent terms you accepted apply. The full rental agreement, signed before delivery, prevails over these terms where they differ.
In case of doubt between the English and Spanish versions, the Spanish version prevails.
